TD Ameritrade was the first U.S. retail brokerage to offer stock trading 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. To usher in this extraordinary event, we physically created our own bell to replace the so-called “closing” bell on Wall Street. And who better to ring it, than the man most synonymous with late night activity, Mr. Lionel Richie. Despite airing pre-game, the television spot was named by Time Magazine as one of the best of the Super Bowl.

TD AMERITRADE - Skip Bad Idea

The Internet is loaded with all kinds of sketchy investing advice. So we created a pre-roll campaign where viewers were presented with one of these shady characters, and then a few seconds in, they’re offered a button to “skip bad idea.” They’re then taken to the TD Ameritrade Green Room, where our spokesperson provides a much more sound plan.
